Spring Makeovers: Organizing Tips for the Home and a Virtual Makeover for You
Winter is starting to retreat, and hints of Spring are everywhere. Time to clear away the clutter and get you and your house in order. The benefits of a clean and organized home will translate into a calm, collected state psychologically. Although I’m not a Feng Shui expert, I do believe in the flow of energy within a home.
To Make a Change — Take a Chance
Life is really all about CHANGE. In order to make a CHANGE, you have to be willing to take a CHANCE. To take a chance is to risk. So let’s spend a few minutes investigating RISK. We’ll examine these characteristics and contingencies:
· what risk is;
· what it does;
· how to recognize what risks are necessary - or not - in a specific situation;
· how to assess the degree of risk you need to take; and?
· how to take risks.
Improve Your Workplace to Make Your Life Better
What does "quality of life" mean to you? If you want to improve it, you have to define and measure it. Most people think of it in terms of lodging, car, financial income, medical services, and social position. That point of view, however, is not fully complete. An average person is spending more than half of his/her life at work.
The Natural Law of Attrition
I’m cheap and proud of it.
I use and re-use things carefully. It pains me in particular to waste food. The Buddhist/Catholic in me wants to find a way to airlift leftover rice and veggies to the Sudan.
I’m one of those obnoxious houseguests who will walk up behind you while you’re washing your dishes in your own damn sink and turn off the faucet.
Its Time To Clear Out! Clutter Busting For Every Aspect Of Your Life
‘A well-ordered life is like climbing a tower; the view halfway up is better than the view from the base, and it steadily becomes finer as the horizon expands.’ –William Lyon Phelps (1895 - 1985) English novelist, poet, writer
We’ve seen some sunshine and light is beginning to stream through the windows.
Organization and the Opposite Sex
In many of the companies I have worked in, there is a very high proportion of male managers to females. This causes a major challenge in the work environment, (although many of them are unaware it is an important issue).
The women know that with a more balanced hierarchy, and viewing things from a totally different perspective this would increase morale, save time and money.
Organizing - Time is of the Essence!
What does "time" have to do with getting organized? Everything! Our society today keeps us running and constantly inhaling, seemingly never allowing us to stop and "exhale"!
De-cluttering our workspaces, whether it is our office, our kitchen, or our garage, enables us to be more productive in our daily lives. Once we organize our physical environment, our minds naturally become clearer.
