How Do You Define Happiness?

I ran a contest in “Your Daily Dose of Happiness” to see how people define happiness. I was stunned to discover that I am the only person who defines happiness as an extra helping of cheesecake.

There were other shockers, too.

We know that money can’t buy happiness … except, of course, when we are flat broke.

If we take evolution seriously, then the reason why we lasted this long (individually and as a race) stems from the fact we have adopted a survivor mentality. We all have them. It has many faces. We carry them around us, We store them in the remotest part of our brain, in the deepest chambers of our hearts.We have them in our extensive database of memories. Some are so close to the heart, it brings out tears at the slightest provocation.

The Key To A Problem-Free Life

What comes to your mind when you see someone who has a perpetual smile on her face and always looks at things on the bright side? Do you wish you could strangle that person or do you wonder how she accomplishes looking peaceful and without a care in the world. Well, I’d hope that once you get past the wanting to strangle the person, you’d ask yourself what it is that makes that person tick the way she does? I’d venture to guess that the person leads a problem-free life! Am I saying that this person doesn’t face challenges and obstacles? Absolutely not! It’s all about how she perceives these challenges and the thought process she applies.

Happiness Is Truly M.A.G.I.C.A.L. (TM)

The year is almost half over. Many of us are taking the time to reflect, to imagine new dreams and to revise our goals. Yet, as we engage in these activities, the shadows of unachieved goals and failed dreams continue to follow us.

Wouldn’t it be great if we could discover a magical way that would help to achieve both our personal and professional happiness and banish those shadows?
