7 Effective Ways To Boost Your Self Esteem

1. Get a life purpose statement.

A well thought out life purpose statement is a powerful way to boost your self-esteem. It will define who you truly are, draw out your essence and affirm you. Whenever you read your life purpose statement, you will be reminded about who you are, what you represent and what you intend to accomplish in life.

Good Communication is Easy - Isn?t It?

My name is Steve Brummet and my business is to speak to businesses, teams, schools, churches, non profit organizations and just people about improving their communication skills. Most communication experts agree that good communication starts with understanding.

If we develop skills that help us better understand people, wont we be able to become better teachers, coaches, parents, salespeople and business people? Doesn’t it make sense that if we learn to be more effective in our communication everything around us will change for the better?

I am asked all the time;

"Can’t I be a good communicator by just opening my mouth and saying the words? Won’t most people understand what I’m trying to say?"

I am going to answer that question by giving you a few examples of bad communication.

Just Listen, Please!

When did you last do that? When did you last listen to yourself? Is there a small voice inside you calling out "Just listen to me" Just listen. Please". "All I want is for you to listen to me". " I am tired and fed up of continuing doing. Just stop for a moment and just listen.

How To Overcome Stuck States In Personal Growth

After many years as a psychotherapist, I found that the brain can be compared to a computer. Since the computer was founded to replicate some of the features of our brains, the analogy also works the other way.

Are You Too Critical?

First of all, criticalness breaks up more relationships, than anything else. And that criticalness is usually over the children or money!

Criticalness can be seen in eyes that slant down.

They notice anything that is out of line and can spot problems and the flaws. Yes, they are naggers, faultfinders. They cause fear in other people.

Choosing an Apprentice

Along the path from where you are now to millions in revenue, thousands in readers, tens of thousands of prospects, or hundreds of clients — whatever criteria you use to define success for your coaching…there us is one key speedbump which is seldom talked about.

That is capacity.

This is especially true as your revenues grow up to six figures and you set your sights on building a seven-figure legacy business with a global impact.

The Enchantment of Tribes to Belong To

I am remembering and have a desire to share with you, a beautiful story told to me by a young lady. It was the end of the World War II and her dad was returning home. He came from a very close network of Italian families that lived near each other in New Jersey.

What Are Your Priorities?

“The indispensable first step to getting the things you want out of life is this: decide what you want.”
-Ben Stein

At the end of every winter as warm weather and sunshine approach, I find myself keenly aware of where I’d like to be spending my time. Outside as much as possible! I think the changing of the seasons is a great time to re-evaluate our life and what areas we would like to change.

Do You See Clearly?

“I don’t see how I can just make up my mind to be happy and successful; and suddenly, magically, I will be. That seems to me to be a denial of my reality. My life is a mess. I am not happy. My life is not a success.” she wrote.

She was replying to my email response to her first inquiry.
