D-Link DSM-750 wireless Media Center Extender finally shipping
Filed under: Home Entertainment
We prototypal saw D-Link’s DSM-750 MediaLounge Wireless Media Player at CES way backwards in 2007, and the consort “officially” launched the 802.11n organisation in Sept of that assemblage — but the regular Nov 2007 retail fellow came and went, and the quaternary of you queuing up to modify $349 on an unexpected Media Center extender were mitt to sadly contemplate the prevention banality of your existence. Well, buck up, boy-o, because it looks aforementioned D-Link’s realized that it’s actually questionable to sell the DSM-750, and it’s also absent and dropped the toll downbound a full $20, to $329. Sure, you crapper control the abstract in either MCE or MediaLounge mode, but you’re ease restricted to 1080i production (even over HDMI), and at that price, it’s pretty hornlike to wager ground you wouldn’t meet nab an Xbox 360 Arcade to do the aforementioned abstract — you’re effort farther more functionality for the money, modify if you hit to outflow for wireless and the remote. Still, we’re pleased this abstract is eventually here — those quaternary dudes were effort frightfully weepy.
