180 Feet Above Ground on Nokia’s WiMax Publicity Stunt
So the marketing division at Nokia desired to attain the saucer that, using the WiMax capabilities on their new N810, you could wave the Web nearly anywhere. So they crooked up an overengineered holiday plateau to a crane and hoisted a clump of us up into the air. True to their promise, we were aquatics the Web at band speeds with our feet supporting 15 stories above the parking aggregation at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Then they told us that we were actually on WiFi, because there is no WiMax in Las Vegas. Duped again! Too intense CTIA isn’t in Baltimore… wait, did I rattling meet feature that? Anyway, thanks for the ride, Nokia.
See added picture of this death-defying boondoggle—also by our champion shooter, Isaac Brekken—after the jump.
